Help Identify This Suspected El Cerrito Package Thief

EL CERRITO, CA- El Cerrito Police officials are asking for the community’s assistance identifying the suspect shown in this video.

According to police, a female suspect was caught on surveillance footage taking a package from a Richmond Street home and replacing it with an empty box on May 2 just before 10:30 a.m.

The video, captured on a recording system installed by the homeowners, shows the suspect arrive in a white GMC pick-up truck, place an empty decoy box on the porch and removed a package that the victim says had been delivered earlier in the morning.

The suspect is described as a female, approximately 5’2” – 5’5”, with a medium build. She was seen in the footage wearing sunglasses, a green jacket with white stripes and the number 55 on the back, a black shirt, and green pajama pants.

The ECPD is asking anyone with information, particularly those who can identify the suspect, to contact Officer Ware at Sware@ci.el-cerrito.ca.us or 510-215-4414 x24.
