Power Fully Restored In El Cerrito | All Schools Open Friday

EL CERRITO, CA — El Cerrito's Public Safety Power Shutoff nightmare is over — PG&E has restored all power to the community.
With the lights back on, all schools will reopen on Friday, October 11. Madera Elementary School in El Cerrito was closed on Thursday.
The West Contra Costa Unified School District announced that schools in other communities will also reopen on Friday, including Olinda Elementary School in Richmond, Kensington Elementary School in Kensington, Pinole Valley High School and Ellerhorst Elementary School, both in Pinole.

For residents who had food spoil because of the power shutoff, you may file a claim with PG&E. Your homeowners policy may also cover spoilage.
