Retrofitting Expert Gives Talk on Making Your Home Safer

Learn to seismically retrofit your home during a talk by retrofit expert Howard Cook.

PBS News Hour featured seismic retrofit expert Howard Cook will be giving a presentation on the proper way to seismically retrofit a house.

He has served as a FEMA Earthquake Damage Inspector and has been a local seismic retrofit contractor for the past 19 years.

He will also be distributing copies of a magazine article he wrote for a national trade magazine.

The talk will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at the Kensington Community Center in the main room (59 Arlington Ave.).

Hosted by the Kensington Public Saftey council, the talk is free and open to all.
