Richmond Man Dies In San Francisco Crash
Sergio Montes was a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in San Francisco.
RICHMOND, CA — A pedestrian struck and killed in San Francisco's Portola neighborhood on Thursday has been identified by the city medical examiner's office as 63-year-old Richmond resident Sergio Montes.
The collision was reported just after 7 a.m. near the corner of San Bruno Avenue and Dwight Street and officers arrived to find Montes, who was taken to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries there, according to police.
The driver who struck Montes stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision, police said.
