Saint Mary's High Spring Concerts
Saint Mary's will present its final concerts of the school year, May 24 and May 30.

Come visit historic Peralta Park as Saint Mary’s College High School presents its two final student concerts of the school year.
On Friday, May 24, Saint Mary’s Performing Arts Dance Classes will present “The Body as Road Map” at 7:00 p.m. General admission is $10 (cash only) at the door. Saint Mary’s is a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA).
On Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m., Saint Mary’s Music Department will feature the school Chorus, String Ensemble, Beginning Band, and Jazz Band in concert. Highlights include: A Moana Choral Medley, Toto’s Africa, Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, to name a few. General admission is free.

The school’s annual Cultures & Traditions Fair was held during lunch on May 16. Several dozen countries and cultures were featured, with food, native dress, music, dance, activities, and more on display in the school gym.
On the evening of May 16, the Class of 2019 will proudly display for their parents the culmination of their school-year-long efforts on their “Senior Projects,” required for graduation. A wide range of impressive themes and topics is featured. The student community will tour the displays the following morning, as part of the annual Founder’s Day celebration honoring Saint John Baptist De La Salle (1651-1719), founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers’ teaching order in Reims, France in 1680. De La Salle was named Patron of Teachers on May 15, 1950 and was canonized on May 24, 1900.

Saint Mary’s sends best wishes to the Classes of 2019 in all area schools!
Saint Mary’s was founded in San Francisco in 1863 and has been located in Berkeley since 1927. The school is conducted by the De La Salle Christian Brothers and is at 1294 Albina Avenue, Berkeley, off Hopkins Street. AC Transit Line 12 stops two blocks from campus and North Berkeley BART is a five-block walk away.
