The Week Ahead: High School Stadium Construction Begins, Loard’s Ice Cream Shop Closing, Summer Camp Registration Opens
Some of the things happening this coming week in El Cerrito.

A note addressed to “Neighbors of El Cerrito High School Football Stadium,” by the project manager of Wright Contracting Inc. was placed in mailboxes last Friday, January 24. It formally announces their involvement in what neighbors have already been talking about, but provides some more details as to what the construction will consist og. The letter states construction is scheduled to last for 18 months, from January 27 to July 27, 2015.

This Bay Area independently owned chain of ice cream parlors have been around since the 1950s. Its location in El Cerrito Plaza for the last six years will be serving its last scoop sometime this week. Patch is waiting for a response from the manager with more information.
Summer Camp Registration Opens Today at the El Cerrito Community Center Office and online.
