Special Olympics Torch Run Through El Cerrito
The Special Olympics torch run went through the city Tuesday.
EL CERRITO, CA — The Special Olympics torch made its way through the city of El Cerrito on Tuesday.
It was handed off by the Albany Police Department at Wells Fargo Bank on San Pablo Avenue. afrom there it was carried northbound on San Pablo Avenue all the way to the Grocery Outlet in Richmond near San Pablo and MacDonald avenues. At that point, it was handed off to the Richmond Police Department.
The “Flame of Hope” torch symbolizes courage and unity. The final destination of the torch is the 2019 Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games in Davis on June 21.
