Woman Killed In I-80 Shooting

The victim, who was shot on Saturday, was identified by the coroner on Monday.

RICHMOND, CA —A 24-year-old Oakland woman died in a shooting on Interstate Highway 80 in Richmond on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Richmond police notified the CHP shortly before 9:15 p.m. Saturday of the shooting that took place on westbound Highway 80 east of Richmond Parkway. The victim, identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as Keonno Davis, went to Kaiser Permanente's Richmond Medical Center and succumbed to her injuries there.

According to the CHP, Davis was driving a Chevrolet Malibu west on the highway when the shooting occurred. No other details about the case, including any information about the suspected shooter, were immediately available.
