Coroner Identifies Elk Grove Resident Killed In Collision With Big-Rig Near Dixon
BREAKING: The 20-year-old died at the scene at 10:32 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Solano County coroner's office.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- An Elk Grove man fatally injured in a crash with a big rig Wednesday near Dixon has been identified by the Solano County coroner's office as Christian Savage, 20. Savage, who was driving a copper-colored Dodge Neon, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of Midway Road and state Highway 113 (Rio Dixon Road), according to the California Highway Patrol.
At 10:14 a.m., the 20-year-old Elk Grove resident was traveling westbound on Midway and as he entered the intersection at SR-113, his car collided with a Peterbilt traveling northbound on SR-113, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
"As the Peterbilt tractor-trailer approached the intersection at Midway Road, the Dodge Neon entered the intersection and the front of the Peterbilt collided with the left side of the Dodge Neon," Harvey said.

Savage died at the scene at 10:32 a.m., according to the coroner's office.
The Peterbilt driver, identified by the CHP as 69-year-old William Gallagher of Klamath Falls, Oregon, was not injured in the crash.

CHP is investigating the collision and asked anyone with pertinent information to contact the CHP's non-emergency line 1-800-TELL-CHP (1-800-835-5247) or the CHP Solano Area Office at 707-428-2100.
"Relate that you have information for CHP - Solano and Lyman is handling this investigation," Harvey said. "Any information obtained in regards to this collision will be greatly appreciated."
