Elk Grove, Sacramento Men Arrested In The Bay Area
Police say they stole credit cards and went on a shopping spree, while driving a stolen Mercedes SUV.

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas Police arrested two suspected thieves at Walmart last Friday.
An officer cruising through the parking lot noticed that a Mercedes-Benz ML320 didn't have license plates. The officer contacted the occupants of the SUV and noticed it was stuffed with a new large screen television, three new Apple iPads, and a new Sony PlayStation 4 gaming system.
Officers investigated the situation and found out that the suspects had credit cards belonging to a victim of a vehicle burglary that just occurred in Newark and a purse with credit cards belonging to the victim of a separate car burglary that had just occurred in Fremont.

Officers also found receipts for the new electronic items purchased with the stolen credit cards.
The suspects are Devante Javon Smith, 22, of Sacramento and Phillip Samuel Davis, 21 of Elk Grove.

They were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for burglary, possession of stolen property, fraud, and conspiracy.
