Gas Station Nachos Give Botulism To Five: Report
Breaking: Avoid the nacho cheese at Valley Oak Food and Fuel in Walnut Grove.

WALNUT GROVE, CA — At least five people have contracted botulism from the nacho cheese sauce at Valley Oak Food and Fuel in Walnut Grove, according to a report in The Sacramento Bee.
The state Department of Public Health is now investigating ten cases of botulism, according to the report. They think the botulism outbreak is linked to the nacho cheese sauce at Valley Oak Food and Fuel gas station, but the exact cause of the poisoning is still under investigation, the report said.
Botulism is caused by a bacteria-produced toxin that can cause muscle weakness, slurred speech, and muscle paralysis. It can be fatal, according to the CDC.
