Happy Mother’s Day To Melinda Lloret

"She volunteered at our schools, coached my softball team and showed us all what being a loving family was all about."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Nicole Lapanja's letter to her mom:

My mom, Melinda Lloret, is the greatest mom. She is so loving and caring. My mother raised five kids and made us all feel special and loved, no matter what. She was there for all of our events and everyday stuff as well.

I was always staying up late even as a fourth grader trying to make assignments for school perfect, and she would stay up all night with me, trying to keep me calm as I wrinkled up paper after paper because they weren't perfect. She volunteered at our schools, coached my softball team and showed us all what being a loving family was all about.

She has always been there for my siblings and me and now all of her grandchildren as well. My daughter calls her with all of her good news, her fears and just to chat. She is never too busy to lend an ear when you need it. She has had a rough couple of years with the loss of one of my brothers and then the loss of her brother as well, but she has never let that stop her from being there for all of us when we need her. I love my mom so much, and I don't know what I would do without her!
