Merryhill Preschool Celebrates Earth Day with Butterfly Release
Students celebrated Earth Day by releasing butterflies in their schoolyard to help local vegetation
Students at Merryhill Preschool on Laguna Park Drive in Elk Grove recently celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
