Merryhill School Students Donate Over 1,200 Pounds of Food

Merryhill students held food drives to benefit families in need during the holidays

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Calvine Road and Merryhill Elementary School in Elk Grove recently held food drives for Elk Grove Food Bank Services to benefit local families in need during the holidays. At a time when the food bank had a greater need than ever for donations, the two schools partnered to donate more than 1,200 pounds of food to help their community. Through this initiative, students learned the value of helping others, spreading kindness, and supporting the community.

The mission of Elk Grove Food Bank Services is to provide essential resources to overcome the many faces of hunger and human need. For more information, visit www.elkgrovefoodbank.org.
