The City is constructing Elk Grove’s first pedestrian and bicycle freeway overcrossing, including a nearly 1,300 foot long, 14-foot wide bridge spanning East and West Stockton Blvd. and Highway 99 that will connect to a new 2,640-foot long, 12-foot wide asphalt trail along the creek.

The City of Elk Grove does not anticipate the closures will create significant traffic delays.   Detours will be clearly marked.  Message signs will alert motorists in advance of the road closure before work begins.

The City of Elk Grove is more than halfway complete with the Elk Grove Creek Trail Pedestrian and Bicycle Overcrossing, with completion expected by spring 2014.
