Update: Abducted Child Located, Mother Arrested
Police believe Tiffany Massey abducted her 4-year-old child Avery Spears Jr., Wednesday from a home on the 4000 block of South Watt Avenue.
Update Oct. 4, 10:21 a.m.: Tiffany Massey, the mother Avery Spears Jr., has turned herself into detectives and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on two felony charges (burglary and concealing a minor child) and a misdemeanor charge of battery. Avery was located safely in Southern California in the company of a relative.

Avery Spears Jr., was last seen yesterday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the residence of his guardian in the 4000 block of South Watt Avenue. Police say his mother Tiffany Massey, 23, entered the residence and forcibly took the child. Massey was last seen fleeing with the child in a silver 2-door vehicle with an unknown license plate to an unknown location.
Avery is described as a black male child, 3’6” tall weighing approximately 30 pounds. He has a ‘fade’ type short hair style and has both ears pierced. Avery’s clothing is unknown at this time.

Tiffany Massey is described as a black female adult, 5’5” tall and weighing approximately 118 pounds with long brown hair. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Avery or Massey are urged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115.
