Sacramento Woman Missing, Considered "At-Risk": Police

SACRAMENTO, CA — The Sacramento County Sherriff's Department needs your help finding a Sacramento woman who has been missing since Tuesday morning. 28-year-old Janet Meija was last seen leaving her residence on Tuesday morning around 9:00 a.m. She lives in the 7200 block of Pepperwood Knoll Lane in North Sacramento. She was reported missing by her roommate.

Police say Mejia’s vehicle was located Wednesday afternoon in the Arden-Arcade area or Sacramento. Her disappearance is "out of the ordinary," as she is usually in constant contact with her family. Mejia is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and brown eyes. She is five feet tall, 120-125 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with the word “PINK” on the front.
