Road work will close a portion of Elk Grove Boulevard in Old Town overnight tonight, November 21, beginning at 8 p.m.

This closure will impact all east and westbound traffic on Elk Grove Boulevard through the Old Town area. Access for all property owners and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
 Crews will remove the existing median at Railroad Street and Elk Grove Boulevard and make repairs to the eastbound lane at the intersection as part of the Old Town Area improvements. Grinding work may generate noise heard in the nearby neighborhoods.

Affected Area: Elk Grove Boulevard east of the Railroad Tracks to School Street
Detours and Alternate Routes: Motorists are encouraged to use Bond Road during the closure. Detour signs and messaging boards will direct motorists on these routes.
Re-opening: Â Westbound lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. on November 24. Eastbound lanes will reopen at 11 a.m.
