Online registration for the 2011 Encino Community Center summer classes begins today. A limited number of classes and spaces will be available for online registration, which is from Thursday to Sunday. Check out this website for the class schedule and more details.

The Mossie Lee’s food truck will be parked at 16206 Ventura Blvd. at lunchtime today. The truck serves chili, smoked ribs, brisket, chicken wings and more Southern cuisine.
The Encino Chamber of Commerce Health and Wellness Committee will be meeting from noon to 1 p.m. in the chamber office at 4933 Balboa Blvd. This is the committee that provides blood drives, CPR and first aid training and more for the Providence Tarzana Medical Center, schools and seniors groups.

Immediately after, the Chamber’s Disaster Prep Committee will be meeting from 1:30-2:30 p.m. This committee meets monthly to discuss what steps must be taken to keep the community running smoothly in the event of a disaster.
