The program for children and young adults with special needs begins its 11th season at Balboa Sports Center in Encino.
Registration is now open for the 2013 season of the VIP Basketball League for children and young adults with special needs, at the Balboa Sports Center in Encino. Now beginning its 11th year, the co-ed VIP Basketball League is one of the very few such programs in the greater Los Angeles area.
With many of the program’s participants affected by autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other disabilities, the emphasis is on inclusion, participation and fun. The League kicks off January 5, with games continuing on Saturdays through March. There will be practice sessions for those who wish to attend on Mondays at 4:00 p.m.
