Coral Tree Cafe Named a 2-Star Certified Green Restaurant
Tankless water heaters and a 30-percent vegetarian menu help Encino and Brentwood restaurants receive the designation.

Coral Tree Cafe Encino and Brentwood were recently certified as 2-Star Certified Green Restaurants by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), a national nonprofit organization helping restaurants to become more environmentally sustainable.Â
Receiving 162 GreenPoints on the GRA’s rigorous certification scale and having implemented 60 environmental steps, Coral Tree Cafe has gone 62 percent above and beyond the minimum requirements necessary for certification.Â
Some accomplishments for this designation include:
- 30 percent of entrees are vegetarianÂ
- Tankless water heater
- 100 percent post consumer recycled menu paper
- Energy star dishwasher
- Uses greener linen cleaning company
"We are proud of Coral Tree Cafe's accomplishment to be the greenest certified green restaurant in all of Brentwood and Encino," said Michael Oshman, CEO and founder of the Green Restaurant Association. "Coral Tree Cafe has made great strides in energy, water, packaging, waste diversion, sustainable food and chemicals."Â
