Despite a Pandemic - Ticktocker's Continue to Support Community
COVID-19 Hasn't stopped National Charity League, Inc., San Fernando Valley Members from remote & onsite support of Charities
Los Angeles, CA - September 14, 2020 – Despite the current Covid-19 pandemic, members from the National Charity League, Inc., San Fernando Valley Chapter (NCL, Inc.), continue to serve NCL's Mission and its commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
This year’s theme of Let Passion Lead has created further inspiration to take action and address urgent community needs, most notably through its teen members, also known as Ticktockers. “We are a very unique program that develops strong women leaders,” said Chapter President, Tiffany Takac. “It was critical for our Ticktocker members and their mothers to quickly support the needs of our philanthropy partners and simultaneously thank our healthcare heroes. I am thrilled to announce that we have been able to send thousands of handwritten thank-you notes through our Letters from the Heart campaign, hundreds of blankets through the Give Hope drive for My Stuff Bags Foundation and Guide Dogs of America, made 5,000 cookies and delivered groceries for One Generation’s home bound seniors, as well as life-saving paracord bracelets for Operation Gratitude First Responders. It’s our whole-hearted intention to continue this line of support.” The Ticktocker girls’ ability to identify a need and create a solution is an outstanding example of how one person, no matter her age, can truly make a difference and be an inspiration to other teens and adults.
Philanthropies supported by the San Fernando Valley Chapter include: West Valley Food Pantry, Motion Picture Television Fund, Guide Dogs of America, West Valley Boys and Girls Club, American Cancer Society Discovery Shops, Operation Gratitude, New Horizons, ONEgeneration, Special Olympics Tri-Valley, and My Stuff Bags Foundation.
