Dog Missing In Encino House Fire
Firefighters battled to keep the blaze from threatening surrounding homes in Encino.
ENCINO, CA — Firefighters doused flames engulfing an Encino home Tuesday morning.
A fire that began in a garage in the 3700 block of North Valley Meadow Road quickly spread to the adjacent two-story home, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The blaze was reported at about 9:05 a.m .
It took about firefighters 44 minutes to put out the fire, which heavily damaged the garage and attic of the large home. Crews continue to search for a dog missing in the fire.

"Thanks to proper brush clearance and firefighting effort, flames were prevented from spreading to volatile vegetation that could have threatened the neighborhood," said Los Angeles Fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
No injuries were immediately reported.
