The San Fernando Valley Arts Council has scheduled their 2011 Valley Artist Studio Tour on Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and October 2. Â
Twenty-four valley artists will participate in this self-guided juried art event which provides a rare glimpse into the private studios of some of the valley's finest artists.
Proceeds from this event will benefit art education programs and scholarships for San Fernando Valley art and music students.Â

Participating in the studio tour is Encino artist Lani Emanuel (impressionistic realism portrayed in landscapes, portraits, and still life using various media).Â
Your ticket to the tour includes an invitation to a gala Saturday evening reception where you'll meet all the artists as you enjoy fine food, entertainment and wine.   Kathleen Sterling, publisher of the Valley News Group publications (Valley Vantage, Warner Center News, Los Virgenes Enterprise) will be honored with the presentation of the First Annual Sterling Award in recognition of her and her late husband Rodger's years of dedication and support of the arts in the San Fernando Valley.

A preview of the Artists works and Artist reception will be held on Saturday September 10, 17, and 24 from 1-5 p.m. at the Great Frame Up, 9010 Balboa Blvd., Northridge CA and a preview of VAST artists work at the Westfield Topanga, 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Canoga Park, Â on Saturday & Sunday, September 24 and 25 from 12 p.m. -3 p.m.
Your ticket will be your map to all 24 Studios the weekend of Saturday & Sunday, October 1st and 2nd.  Hours of the tour are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Â
Tickets purchased in advance: Â $20 each; Groups of 5 or more $15 each and children 12 and under are free. Â
