TARZANA, CA — A former NBA player from Tarzana pleaded no contest to assaulting a man outside a West Hollywood club last year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.

Ronald Glen Davis, 33, entered his plea to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury. He is required to complete 320 hours of community labor over the next year as part of his plea agreement, and also paid $104,479 in restitution, the press release said.

The battery count will be reduced to a misdemeanor when Davis is scheduled to be sentenced next year if he completes the community labor and doesn't break any other laws, the District Attorney's Office said.
