Update: Search Warrant Leads to Arrest in Encino

The 5400 block of Genesta Avenue in Encino was filled with FBI and DEA agents early Thursday morning. One individual was arrested.

Authorities shut down four San Fernando Valley clinics suspected to be prescription mills from which bogus prescriptions were issued for the powerful pain killer OxyContin. The clinics raided yesterday include two in Reseda, one in Northridge and one in Van Nuys.

Agents also searched the home of the manager of two of the clinics in the 5400 block of Genesta Avenue in Encino.

They found $300,000 in cash and another $300,000 worth of the powerful prescription painkiller OxyContin, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The search led to the arrest of Anush Davtyan, the clinic manager, at her home, officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration told Patch. 

The agencies participating in the investigation include the Drug Enforcement Administration; IRS; FBI; Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; Department of Health and Human Services; and the California Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.
