Garcetti Holds Town Hall on the Internet

Mayor-elect Eric Garcetti will bring his citywide "listening tour" to the Internet-savvy set Thursday with a town hall on the online forum reddit.com.

Garcetti is hoping to take suggestions about what he ought to do as mayor in an "ask me anything," or AMA, conversation thread.

The hour-long AMA will begin at 7 p.m., at this link. However, comments have already begun pouring in under Garcetti's reddit post announcing the event, with people pushing for bike-friendly measures, tax incentives to rein in "runaway film production" and more protections for jobs at the ports, where automation has become more popular.
