L.A. Residents Can Now Schedule Xmas Tree Collection With Alexa

Did you know - LASAN recycles Christmas trees and uses them to produce compost and mulch that is available to residents for free.

This holiday season, LASAN is excited to introduce a new feature to make Christmas tree recycling easier for Angelenos. City of Los Angeles residents can now request their Christmas Tree collection service through Amazon Alexa by either installing the free app onto their smartphones or utilizing any Amazon Assistant devices. This contactless service is available in both English and Spanish.

Scheduling a curbside Christmas tree collection is a convenient and safe way to recycle your tree. Flocked trees and artificial trees can’t be recycled. Please place them in the black container if they fit, if not, you can also have them picked up for disposal.
