Man Found Lying in Pool of Blood in Encino Street
An investigation is under way after a man with a neck wound is discovered on Burbank Boulevard near Woodley Avenue.

Police are trying to identify a man found in a pool of blood on Burbank Boulevard near Woodley Avenue in Encino.
The man, who was wounded in the neck, was found at about 3 p.m. Thursday, police said. He reportedly was taken to an area hospital, and his condition was unknown.
A team of detectives are investigating a homeless camp in the Sepulveda Basin near the river corridor, where they believe the victim may have come from, according to West Valley Homicide Detective Scott Crowe.

“We’re just in the preliminary stages of this investigation,” Crowe said from the scene. “I don’t know the status of the victim. He was taken to a hospital and there appears to be a large amount of blood here.”
