Man Killed In Tarzana Robbery Was Young Father Of Two
Police identified a 24-year-old man shot to death by a trio of robbers while sittinging in his parked car.
TARZANA, CA — A man killed by robbers in Tarzana Saturday was a young father of two from Indiana.
Jean Carlos Delarosa, 24, of Indianapolis was wounded about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the 18200 block of Sugarman Street and died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and the coroner's office. He and a friend had just pulled up outside an Airbnb they had rented for a party, according to authorities. While still seated in the car, three armed robbers confronted the pair.
"The suspects demanded their property and, in the process, shot the victim multiple times," according to a police statement.

According to his obituary, "Jeancarlos was a devoted and loving “Daddy” to his children and was a Mama’s boy. He was a loyal and loving man who never met a stranger. He loved to spend time with family and help others every chance he had. He was also a powerful leader in his community and within his family and friends."
Police did not release descriptions of the suspects or the getaway vehicle.
