Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on the 405

A motorcyclist plowed into the rear of a pickup truck on the southbound San Diego Freeway late Wednesday afternoon and died at the scene.

The collision occurred near Burbank Boulevard about 4:30 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to KABC7, the motorcyclist hit the rear of a pickup truck, which overturned as a result. No significant injuries were reported in the truck, however, Humphrey said.

A SigAlert was called due to the closure of the carpool and two other lanes for the crash investigation and clean-up.
