Girasol, has finally opened in Studio City at 11334 Moorpark St. The 120-seat restaurant is designed by the same folks who did Red O, Sushi Roku, Hyde and the Roosevelt Hotel,Â
Top Chef alum C.J. Jacobson, told LA Weekly, "I get to showcase my take on California cuisine, drawing from SoCal's Mexican roots, ties to the Pacific and bounty of seasonal and fresh ingredients." Jacobson says.

Closings
Hostess Bakery Thrift Store at 9847 De Soto Ave. in Chatsworth has been closed ever since Hostess Brands went into bankruptcy a year ago. And although the iconic Twinkies snack cakes are set to return to grocery shelves on July 15, it looks as though the store is closed for good.
