State Bicycle Co., once known for its selection of minimalist bikes as well as repairs, at 11223½ Magnolia Blvd. in the NoHo Arts District, has gone out of business.

In Transition

Safari Surf and Sport, the Valley's premier surf shop, is moving one building west to 20946 Devonshire St. in Chatsworth. The phone number remains (818) 349-9283.

Ride with Pride is going on hiatus for two months while looking for a new home base, according to Michael P. Murphy, chairman of the board of directors. Ride with Pride operates both a therapeutic horseback riding program for the disabled and an equine facilitated psychotherapy program serving returning war veterans. For the past five months, after leaving Browns Canyon Ranch in Chatsworth, the programs were held at Stoney Point Ranch.

Ross Dress for Less is now under construction in the former Circuit City store at Northridge Fashion Center. Vacant since the chain of electronic superstores went out of business in 2009, the building was often used for movie shoots and housed a Halloween store.
