Reseda Fire Smoke Plume Can Be Seen For Miles
A small fire damaged a building in Reseda. Despite the widely visible smoke plume, the fire was quickly contained.

RESEDA, CA — Fire ripped through an outbuilding connected to a single-family home in Reseda Monday, sending a large plume of smoke over the area, but no injuries were reported.
The fire was reported about 1:20 p.m. in the 18200 block of West Vanowen Street and was extinguished in 16 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The flames damaged a 500-square-foot addition to the house, as well as some vehicles on the property and a detached garage. A nearby structure also appeared to have sustained some minor fire damage, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
