Update, 4:12 p.m.: The search for two bank robber suspects has been called off, according to KABC7. The lockdown at Tarzana Elementary School was ended earlier.

Tarzana Elementary School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning as a Ventura Boulevard bank robbery led to a short chase and a police search, according to KCAL9.

The robbery occurred at a Citibank in Woodland Hills, according to Los Angeles police Sgt. Albert Gonzalez.

Police set up a perimeter in the area of Hatteras Street and Vanalden Avenue. The Tampa Avenue offramp from the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway was closed to limit traffic from entering the area, said CHP Officer Ed Jacobs.
