Tarzana House Fire Extinguished Without Injuries

Firefighters needed about 12 minutes to extinguish a non-

injury house fire in Tarzana Friday night.

The blaze at 6126 Melvin Ave., between Victory Boulevard and Topham

Street, was reported at 9:51 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire

Department.

   The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the scene, Humphrey said.

   A damage estimate was not immediately available. The cause of the fire

remained under investigation, Humphrey said.
