Update: Missing Encino Woman Found in Chino Hills

Update, 4:47 a.m.: A 75-year-old woman in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease who went missing from her home in Encino was located safe Thursday morning in San Bernardino County, police said.

Nadia Abdelsayed was found in Chino Hills and returned home, said Officer Jason Mascola of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Station.

Abdelsayed had been missing since around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday when she was seen driving from her home, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Previous story: A 75-year-old woman in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease went missing Wednesday morning from her home in Encino.

Nadia Abdelsayed was last seen around 7:30 a.m. at her home in the 4900 block of Rubio Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Abdelsayed has not been seen since she drove from her home in a white 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 four-door station wagon with the license plate GODNBA, police said.

Abdelsayed is Middle Eastern, 5-feet 1-inch tall, weighs about 165 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes. She was wearing a green or blue shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information about Abdelsayed's whereabouts was urged to contact the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800. After hours or weekend calls can be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7.
