Zine Campaign Gains New Endorsement and Donor Support
Tarzana's Councilmember is running for City Controller.

Councilmember Dennis Zine's campaign for City Controller today secured the endorsement of Unite Here Local 11, a 20,000-member organization representing workers in the hotel, restaurant, airport, sports arena industries. The announcement closely follows the campaign reporting announcement showing support for Zine from more than 1,000 separate contributors.
"I stand with the working men and women of Los Angeles and am proud to have the support of Unite Here in this important race for City Controller," said Zine. "We're well on our way, building a strong campaign coalition founded on the principals of fiscal accountability, economic stability, and renewed public trust. I look forward to sharing this campaign message and putting my experience to work for all Angelenos."
Zine supporters also continue to provide financial backing; the campaign reported more than 1,000 separate contributions in the latest filing period, for a total of roughly $540,000 and more than twice the amount of cash on hand as of June 30, 2012. Zine's campaign far outpaces the rest of the field, at more than twice the amount raised, despite opponents' significant personal loans to their campaign treasuries.
