Discovery Isle in La Costa-San Marcos Donates More Than 70 Toys

Students delivered gifts they collected to Casa de Amparo's annual holiday drive

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in La Costa-San Marcos recently donated more than 70 toys to Casa de Amparo’s 17th annual holiday drive. Since the beginning of December, students worked together to collect a variety of toys to benefit local children in need. Following the drive, students and teachers delivered the gifts to the organization’s drop-off center. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.

Casa de Amparo is recognized as a leader in treating and preventing child abuse and neglect in San Diego County and beyond, with locations in Oceanside and San Marcos. The nonprofit organization annually serves over 1,000 Casa Kids, from prenatal to 25 years old, as well as over 950 families through five integrated programs that promote healing, growth and healthy relationships.
