Gas Prices Drop Slightly Near Escondido
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County has dipped but is still 22.6 cents more than a month ago.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped a half-cent Wednesday to $3.268, one day after decreasing four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than a week ago but 22.6 cents more than a month ago and 43.8 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average gas price has dropped three times, been unchanged twice and risen once following a nine-day streak of increases that boosted the price to its highest amount since Sept. 14, 2015.

A statewide 12-cent a gallon gasoline tax increase went into effect Nov. 1, the first day of the streak.
