Man Killed In Crash Into Tree North Of Escondido
The crash happened just west of Interstate 15 in the unincorporated Hidden Meadows area, according to the CHP.
ESCONDIDO, CA — A motorist was killed Wednesday in a predawn solo car crash on a rural road north of Escondido.
Jose Gomez Pavon, 29, was headed east on Old Castle Road in Hidden Meadows about 2:30 a.m. when his 1999 Honda Accord veered off the north side of the street for unknown reasons and struck a tree near Indian Hill Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorist died at the scene of the wreck, the CHP reported.
