Mother-Daughter Duo Honored For Best Children’s Album Of Year
"The Spaceship That Fell In My Backyard," from Ruth and Emilia of Escondido and L.A., was named LA Music Critic Award winner.

ESCONDIDO, CA – A Southern California mother-daughter music duo's newest kid-friendly collection, “The Spaceship That Fell In My Backyard,” recently was selected as the Best Children’s Album of the Year by the LA Music Critic Awards.
The album from Escondido- and Los Angeles-based Ruth and Emilia features wacky characters and catchy songs about a shiny spaceship carrying a visitor from planet Goopda that lands in Emilia’s backyard. The visitor from outer space travels to Earth to promote universal peace, and the two become fast friends, dancing and singing through their adventures.
Audiences can hear Ruth and Emilia’s music on Pandora Radio, iTunes and Amazon.

Other 2018 awards the album received include: 2018 Kids First Media Award Winner; 2018 Family Choice Award Winner; 2018 Hot Diggity Award, 2018 “Top Fun” Tillywig Media Award Winner; 2018 Global Music Award Winner; 2018 National Parenting Product Award Winner; and 2018 Creative Child CD of the Year Award; plus Hollywood Music in Media Award (Children’s Music); The Clouzine International Award (Best Children’s Album); and The Grand Prize for Children’s Music in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition.
