Bella Vista Students Rank Among Region's Best SAT Performers

Out of 25 regional high schools, Bella Vista ranked 11.

can add another accolade to its list of accomplishments having been ranked among the top 25 schools in the region with high average SAT scores.

The San Juan Unified School District is one of two school districts in the four-county Sacramento region with the most public high schools with high average SAT scores, according to an analysis of state data by the Sacramento Business Journal.

Both San Juan Unified and the El Dorado Union High school districts have four schools among the top 25, according to the publication’s review of statistics from Ed-Data from the 2009-10 school year.

  • Mira Loma High School (1) – Average SAT score 1853; 86 percent scored above 1500
  • Rio Americano High School (4) – Average SAT score 1706; 76 percent scored above 1500
  • Bella Vista High School (11) – Average SAT score 1633; 67 percent scored above 1500
  • El Camino Fundamental High School (19) – Average SAT score 1600; 63 percent scored above 1500
