Carmichael Business Owner Helps Nab Duo With Burglar Tools, Stolen Vehicle

The owner called 911 after the two were acting suspiciously in the store.

Two people, who allegedly entered a Carmichael clothing store holding knives, in possession of a fake bill and driving a stolen vehicle, were arrested after the business owner called 911.

The duo, 27-year-old Christopher Barto and 29-year-old Tiffany Craft, reportedly walked into Styles Hennesy on Fair Oaks Boulevard Aug. 6 holding knives and acting suspiciously. The owner called 911 and the two left the business when the officer arrived, but were detained outside.

One of the suspects was reportedly found in possession of a pair of sunglasses stolen from the business and a fake $20 bill, according to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department crime log.

A check of the vehicle they were driving found it to be stolen. Burglary tools and identification belonging to several people were found in the vehicle, according to the log.
