Carmichael Celebrates Christmas Tree Lighting Thursday

The Carmichael Recreation & Park District's 9^th Annual Tree Lighting is scheduled to take place Thursday, Dec. 6, come rain or shine, officials say.

Held at the front of Carmichael Park, the River City Concert Band kicks off the festivities at 5:30 p.m. and the lighting will occur just after 6 p.m.

There will be free cider and cookies, arts/crafts for kids, a magician and pictures with Santa for $1. Those who wish to can donate a canned food item for the District's Holiday Food Drive.
