Carmichael Girls Softball Team Wins Norcal Tournament

12 and under team tops Rocklin in Elk Grove.

The 12 and under team of the Carmichael Girls Softball league won the Northern California tournament this past weekend, league officials announced.

The Carmichael team defeated Rocklin 8-5 in Elk Grove on Sunday, said Bill Enos, the league president and coach of the 12u team.

"It was a great life lesson for the girls because we had set a goal," said Enos, whose daughter Natalie pitches and plays third base on the team. "The team practices four days a week so this shows that persistence paid off."
