Deputies: Man Shot in Home on Haskell Avenue

Sheriff's Department investigating Carmichael homicide.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a homicide Monday in Carmichael that killed a 24-year-old man, a sheriff's spokesman announced.

Deputies found the victim, who has not been identified, inside a home on the 5700 block of Haskell Avenue, said Dep. Jason Ramos. The man had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and was declared dead at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115, Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP, or send a text message tip to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information, according to a news release. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
