Deputies Search for Clues in Orangevale House Shooting

The shooting was unprovoked. Luckily no one was injured.

Sacramento County Sheriff's investigators are still trying to figure out what led to an unprovoked shooting outside an Orangevale home more than three weeks ago. What's more, it's uncertain why it took so long for the incident to be reported.

According to a Sheriff's deputy report, on Jan. 4, around 2:23 p.m., unknown suspects shot an unknown type weapon at a 9000 block Green River Way residence. The shots managed to strike a fence the victim was standing near and an air conditioning unit on top of the victim's house, according to the report.

The victim did not see who shot at his residence. No one was injured during the incident, either.
