Java Johnny's

Position(s): Drive-thru espresso maker

Duties: Baristas / Shift Leaders perform a variety of duties including preparing espresso drinks, restocking and cleaning prep area, cash handling, and completing opening, shift change, and closing checklists. The barista welcomes each guest and provides excellent customer service skills while adhering to all recipes and presentation standards. As Shift Leader you will take responsibility and accountability for; developing and retaining relationships with customers, as well as ensuring all recipes, policies, and procedures are followed.

Compensation: Java Johnny's starts each trainee at $ 8.00 + tips to start, followed by a performance-based raise with review of up to $ 9.00 / hour + tips.

Makeup and skin care studio

Position(s): Esthetician, makeup artist

Duties: Rent a makeup counter to offer your makeup services? We have a great makeup and skin care studio located in Fair Oaks. Waxing area available. 

Compensation: Retail makeup and skin care commissions offered, up to $225 per month.

Position(s): Part-time bartender

Duties: Are you tired of the corporate rat race? The corner office decorated by a deranged stick person? The large-breasted secretary bringing your coffee (and he's a guy)? Then have we got a job for you. Meet people that you would never take home to mother (because she would have too much fun with them and you'd be out of the will). Get to know people with names like, "Right-Lane" Randy, Multiple Bob and Rex (not the wonder dog). So if this sounds good to you, you have two options: psychiatric help or Harps Lounge at 4729 San Juan Ave. in Fair Oaks.

Sushimono

Position(s): Sushi bar cooks and servers

Duties: Must have a minimum of one-year experience in a sushi restaurant. We are looking for organized, reliable, flexible, friendly team players. Weekend availability is a must.

Position(s): Children's tutors

Duties: Tutors are upbeat, encouraging, and present positive attitudes! Our tutors are college students and energetic adults who thrive in providing an excellent tutoring experience no matter the subject.

• Be academically focused
• Be competent in most K-12 academic subjects
• Have experience working with children and/or teenagers
• Have a positive attitude

• Be available 4 or more hours per week

Compensation: Hours vary anywhere from 2 to 8 hours or more per week and include Monday - Thursdays and Saturday hours. Pay ranges from $10 to $25 per hour, depending upon assignment.

Environmental public relations firm

Position(s): Office assistant/bookkeeper

Duties: Seeking a business whiz to provide full bookkeeping support and assist in both office and project functions. We specialize in community outreach for environmental and technical projects. Your role complements the Principal's -- as you do bi-monthly AP/AR, payroll and financial reporting, while also managing client contacts, overseeing project schedules and budgets, providing research and, occasionally, overseeing print production and doing basic graphic design. Your expertise with QuickBooks is essential. Be applauded for your internet research, data base management and graphics software capabilities. Create and maintain relationships based on your considerate, empathic and unflappable phone manners. If you like variety, then you will love this position.

Compensation: This is a part-time position with the benefit of semi-flexible hours for the responsible, productive professional.
