The 1970s may just be history's most horrific period for home design, and we were just about to click away from this 1977 number at 8306 Mercer Way when we happened upon a captivating photo of a backyard hot tub nestled under a rustic wooden gazebo. It brought back memories of a certain yurt-filled resort in the Pacific Northwest where we'd once spent a very happy weekend. The rest of the backyard had a vacation-like feel, too, with its curvaceous pool, wooden deck and palm tree.
As for the house, well, it's got four bedrooms, three baths, nondescript carpet and tile and a pleasant-looking sunroom with a sloped roof. It's listed at $355,000 as of July 14. If you buy it, please do all us '70s-haters a favor and take down the dated valances on the windows—the better to let in that pretty green view.
